Trilok Subba wins Gold at 12th International Open Taekwondo Championship

KALIMPONG, 2 JANUARY 2018: Trilok Subba won a Gold Medal at the 12th International Open Taekwondo Championship held at Nepal today. He was competing in the Individual Poomsae Event. The Championship is being organised by Origan West Coast Taekwondo USA in collaboration with Itahari Taekwondo Association. The Medal was handed over to Subba by Rajendra Kumar Kessi, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Nepal.

More than a thousand contestants participated in the Championship from countries such as United Kingdom, Nepal, India, Austria, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ghana, USA, Ethopia, Australia, Qatar among others. Grand Master Raymond T. Hsu (8th Dan), WTF First Class was the Chief Judge of the Poomsae Event.

Subba thanked all his seniors, family members and well-wishers for supporting him. He said that he was very happy winning Gold for his country once again. It may be noted that Subba had won Gold Medal for India in 2nd India International Taekwondo Championship held at Khudiram Anushilan Kendra, Kolkata on 21st of December 2017. He won the medal in the Masters Individual Poomsae Taekwondo event.
