Trilok Subba represents India in 2nd India International Taekwondo Championship; Reaches Semi Final

KALIMPONG, 22 DECEMBER 2017: Trilok Subba from Kalimpong represented India in the 2nd India International Taekwondo Championship held at Khudiram Anushilan Kendra, Kolkata. Subba participated in the 2nd Master Individuals Poomsae Taekwondo event. He was the only participant from Kalimpong district to represent India

Countries that competed in the 2nd India International Taekwondo Championship included South Korea, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, India and Nepal. There were total of 550 participants.

Trilok Subba’s performance has been exceptional and he has reached the Semi Finals. He is set to face an opponent from Indonesia for a berth in the finals.

It may be noted that Poomsae akin to Katas in Karate are are set of forms used to teach Taekwondo. A form, or poomsae (also romanized as pumsae or poomse) is a defined pattern of defense-and-attack motions.
