Tilok Subba wins Gold for India in 2nd India International Taekwondo Championship

THE HIMALAYAN BEACON KALIMPONG NEWS BUREAU

KALIMPONG, 22 DECEMBER 2017: Trilok Subba won Gold Medal for India in 2nd India International Taekwondo Championship being held at Khudiram Anushilan Kendra, Kolkata. He won the medal in the Masters Individual Poomsae Taekwondo event. He was the only participant from Kalimpong district to represent India. Silver medal in the Masters Individual Poomsae Taekwondo event went to Indonesian while the Bronze medal went again to India.

Speaking to ‘The Himalayan Beacon’ Subba said that he was happy for this victory since this was his last competition for the year 2017. He added that it was his small contribution in bringing glory to Kalimpong and indeed the entire Hills and nation at large.

As reported in ‘The Himalayan Beacon’ earlier there were total of 550 participants in the competition from South Korea, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, India and Nepal.
