New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) Reacting to reports that top IT firms of the country, including Infosys and Wipro, planned to lay off at least 56000 employees this year, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi today said the youth of the country had been let down by this government’s lack of vision.

He also questioned the commitment of the NDA government to provide jobs to the youth.

‘Sad to see our youth let down by this Govt’s lack of vision,’ Mr Gandhi said in a tweet.

Posting a series of articles that said the India Exclusion Report of 2016 has presented a bleak picture of jobs in the country and that top IT firms in India, including Wipro and Infosys, have slashed the jobs and planned to lay off at least 56000 employees this year, Mr Gandhi, in another tweet, in an apparent reference to the NDA Government, said ‘between promises & performance lies capability & commitment. The Congress has, in the past, attacked the NDA government for its failure to live up to its promise to create five crore jobs in five years.’
