NEW DELHI, 13 MARCH 2018: S. S. Ahluwalia, Darjeeling Member of Parliament and Minister of State of Drinking Water and Sanitation has written to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh over the threats of Rape and Arson made allegedly by the IC of Darjeeling Sadar Police Station to one Achutam Bhattarai.
In a statement written to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Ahluwalia writes, I am also enclosing the complaint of Mrs. Shakuntala Bhattarai and other women of the family, regarding these threats, and detailing their fear for their honour and life, given the clear threat conveyed by the IC Sadar Police Station Saumyajit Roy, to her son Achutam Bhattarai as detailed and captured in the phone called.
Ahluwalia further wrote I look forward to prompt action from your good office at teh earliest, suspending and taking action on the the concerned officer and esuring stringent measures are taken against such behavior so that the faith and trust my constituents have on our constitution and the government is restored.
