DARJEELING: Mother Damien leaves for the holy abode

Darjeeling: Mother Damien, a well-known academician from the Darjeeling hills, died at Loreto Hall, St Stephen’s Green, in Dublin on Monday. She was 91. Mother Damien had served as the principal of Loreto College, Darjeeling, for 38 years before moving to Ireland. A mass for the repose of her soul will be held at the cathedral of Loreto Convent here on April 7.
