KALIMPONG, 12 JANUARY 2018: Trilok Subba has been appointed as the National Taekwondo Team Coach by the Taekwondo Federation of India. The Indian National Taekwondo Team will be participating in the 18th Asian Games Taekwondo Invitational Tournament to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 10th to 13th February.

Before the team leaves for Indonesia a preparatory championship has been organised in Kalimpong. This is the first time that Kalimpong has been a venue for such an important championship. Four Boys and Four Girls and two trainers will be choosen for the Indian National Team.

Coaching camp began on the 17th of December and will come to an end on the 2nd of February. The national team will live for Indonesia on the 7th of February.

It may be noted that Subba’s form has been impeccable. He won Gold for India 2nd India International Taekwondo Championship  in December. Further, he won Gold Medal at the 12th International Open Taekwondo Championship held at Nepal on 2nd of January 2018.

Subba express great happiness at being given such an important responsibility by the Taekwondo Federation of India.
