KALIMPONG, 25 JANUARY 2018: All India Jana Andolan Party (JAP) has been given permission to hold a public meeting at Bagha Jatin Park in Siliguri. The meeting will be organised to mark the 3rd Foundation Day of the party. Party General Secretary Nayan Pradhan today addressing the media said that the party has been given the permission to hold public meeting at Bagha Jatin Park in Siliguri. This is one of the first time in recent memory that a hill party has been given a permission to hold public meeting inside Siliguri.
Pradhan said that the party may not be able to organise a large public meeting at Siliguri since the main thrust of the party is in New Delhi when a majority of the leadership and cadres will be leaving for New Delhi before the start of the Budget Session of the Union Parliament. Still, the party will hold a meeting in Siliguri with around 200 cadres and observe its 3rd Foundation Day.
Pradhan invited people who would not be going to attend the party’s programme at New Delhi to come and attend the party meeting in Siliguri. He also requested all Hill based people who are living in and around Siliguri to attend the party meeting.
