Wiki is not only the source of everyone’s knowledge, besides wiki can be moderated by any Tom, Dick and Harry. These photographs are taken during WWII, when India was not even born, so for that time there was no Gorkhaland, every soldier was a Gorkha or Gurkha whatever you want to spell it. Jay Gorkha!

gurkhas or gorkhas are the same just change in spelling the pronounciation is gorkha but the britisher misspelled the word (eg chindits were also misspelled by the british) Mr.serkhang. the one living India are Indian, the one living in uk are British gorkhs or gurkhas, where is the confusion Mr. Nepali Nepalese are of nepal they were born in nepal . and Indian Nepalis are the one who were born in India. so simple for details don’t refer only Wikipedia, there are many books to clear ur confusion Mr . khan ji

@ MailaRai: Not very convincing. According to general use – and Wikipedia – Gurkhas are military units enlisted in Nepal. Gorkhas, on the other hand, claim just NOT to be from Nepal. So, the difference between Nepali Nepalese and Indian Nepalese is certainly more than just a different spelling.

Looks like Gorkhas are getting trapped within their own constructs.
