BREAKING NEWS: JAP cadres stopped at Gate No. 2 of the Parliament; Situation tense



NEW DELHI, 4 JANUARY 2018: All India Jana Andolan Party cadres today started their Parliament March for Gorkhaland from Jantar Mantar to the Union Parliament. As per the report received at this moment the cadres have been stopped by the Delhi Police at Gate No. 2 of the Union Parliament. Situation remains tense as they remain surrounded by the Police. Both JAP cadres and the police are not backing out and hence, there is eminent chance that they could be arrested.

It may be noted that the Winter Session is presently going on and the party wants that a debate on the Gorkhaland issue be initiated in the union Parliament. The party has so far submitted memorandum to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party Delhi Pradesh President Manoj Tiwari among others.

Today marked the 6th day of continuous rally and demonstrations for Gorkhaland being spearheaded by the All India Jana Andolan Party. Today’s demonstration was led by JAP Yuva Ekai President Biru Tamang and General Secretary Bhupen Tamang.
