DARJEELING, 10 NOVEMBER 2017: Readers are cautioned today that they can expect heavy traffic snarl today in Darjeeling as the police and the district administration will be directing vehicles to the two newly built parking lot for use in trail basis. How far the two parking lots will ease the traffic congestion in the town will be known within a few days.

  1. I believe it was seen as a big success in the very first day. There were infact no traffic jams. And roads were playing freely on the bigger roads. The road from Darjeeling has to be cleared of parking on the roadsides. This chokes the whole town and traffic jams resulting in noise and air pollution.

  2. Hardly any traffic issues. Traffic jam is rare now. Just don’t let parking of vehicles from Bazar to singamari. This had clogged the whole town. Let it be a permanent ban on parking from Bazar to singamari.
