Allegations of Manhandling by TMC Ward Commissioner in Mirik

MIRIK, 30 November 2017: Allegations of manhandling by Trinamool Congress (TMC) Ward No. 9 Commissioner Sandip Tamang of Mirik Municipality was made today when Tamang allegedly entered the Electricity Office in Mirik in an intoxicated state and allegedly manhandled a female employee who protested in the spot resulting in a ruckus in the office. Tamang claimed that the female employee had made unwelcomed remarks at him. Meanwhile another employee Ajit Rai too has alleged that he was beaten up by Tamang. Rai is said to have furnished his medical report at his office.

Ward Commissioner Sandip Tamang had gone to the Electricity Office in order to raise the issue of problems faced by his ward pertaining to the supply of electricity.
